10. The Shunamite Woman, Virtuous Woman (II Kings 4:8-36, Proverbs 31:10-28)
Women in every generation have made "home" a warm and comfortable word, ministering
the physical as well as spiritual needs of their families. On the left in this window we see
pictured the Shunamite woman pictured who made room in her household for the prophet Elisha,
and was richly rewarded for her hospitality. It was she who said of the prophet: Behold now,
I perceive that this is a holy man of God."
In the right lancet the virtuous woman from Proverbs 31 is pictured, the woman who
embodies all the virtues of a good and wise mother. Her price is far above rubies.
