The North Rose Window
In balance with the twelve prophets symbolized in the South Rose Window, this window
contains the symbols of the twelve apostles of the New Testament. The background color motifs
are the same in both windows. The symbols add interest and meaning to a beautiful stained glass
window.
In the center we find the open Bible, symbolic of the gospel that was spread by the twelve.
the other symbols are found in the outer quatrefoils, reading clockwise, beginning with Peter's
symbol at the twelve o'clock position.
