12. Family at Nazareth, Boy Christ in Temple (Luke 2:39-40, 46-52)
To Mary and Joseph was entrusted the divine and precious responsibility of giving a home
and normal childhood to the Savior of the world. The left lancet of this window portrays the
family group in the carpenter shop in Nazareth. The child grew...and the grace of God was
upon him.
At the age of twelve, the Boy Jesus was beginning to feel the weight of the responsibility that was His to bear. The familiar scene in the temple is an indication that He was preparing Himself for the work that lay ahead. They found him in the temple, sitting in the midst of doctors, Both hearing them and asking them questions.
