6. Moses (Exodus 2:1-10, 3:1-10, 5:1)
God called unto him out of the midst of the bush, and said, "Moses, Moses." And he
said, "Here am I." "I will send thee unto Pharaoh, that thou mayest bring forth my
people."
The character of Moses dominates the Old Testament - a humble man who was mightily used
of God. The medallions in this window remind us of some the more significant incidents in the
life of Moses. To the left we see the rush basket, easily recognized as the hiding place arranged by his mother to save the baby from Pharaoh's edict. The right lancet pictures the burning bush, symbolic of God's appearance to Moses to announce his plan of deliverance. In the center we see Moses and Aaron standing before Pharaoh with the startling news, "Thus saith the Lord of God of Israel, Let my people go!"
