What is your dream for Broadway?
I envision a unique, vibrant, healthy congregation that is growing in the grace of Christ, a community of grace where all are welcome, a sacred presence in the center of our city.

Where are you from and where did you go to school?
I was born and raised in Dallas, Texas. I went to Baylor for my undergraduate degree and earned my Master of Divinity from Baylor’s George W. Truett Theological Seminary and my Doctor of Ministry from Princeton Theological Seminary.

What do you like to do in your free time?
I love sports, and I really enjoy going to my children’s sporting events and sometimes coaching. I try to sometimes actually get some exercise myself, too. I like movies, a few TV shows (like Friday Night Lights and The Office), and reading. As a family, we have enjoyed hiking in the Smoky Mountains and going to the beach.

What is your dream for Broadway?
My dream is for Broadway to be Christ's people with differing backgrounds who come together to find welcome, grace, friendship, wisdom, mutual respect, forgiveness, places of service, and conviction for social justice. When we find these things together, we are compelled to share them with our family, friends, community and the world.

Where are you from and where did you go to school?
I graduated from Baylor, the Carver School of Church Social Work, and the old Southern Baptist Theological Seminary with degrees in social work and divinity.

What do you like to do in your free time?
I enjoy spending time with my wife and children, playing with our old dog, and jogging with friends (especially when I'm feeling overweight).

What is your dream for Broadway?
My dream for Broadway is that folks will realize that Broadway is a place for all people to worship, pray and serve. My dream is to look out on the congregation and see folks of all walks of life, all skin tones and all kinds of family units worshiping together. I pray that we will reflect our neighborhood as well as our multicultural city as we are an example of how God's love is for all of us.

I grew up in Alvarado, Texas, a small town 25 miles south of Fort Worth.
My Bachelor of Science and Masters of Liberal Arts are from Texas Christian University.

What do you like to do in your free time?

I spend time with my children, grandchildren and great granddaughter and listen to my husband David whistle. I love to lunch with friends at fun restaurants and have a passion for dinner parties. I am a docent at the Kimbell Museum and The Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth. I am the chair of the Nagaoka, Japan committee for Fort Worth Sister Cities International. I love to travel to the great museums of the world, walk along a sea shore and amble through a beautiful garden. I love to show off the City of Fort Worth and Broadway Baptist Church to international guests.
