Missionsmissions

Mission activity is and always has been an integral part of congregational concern at Broadway. We take seriously the mandate of Jesus to be His witnesses to all the world, beginning in our own neighborhood and reaching around the globe.

When the area began to change and the congregation chose not to move to suburbia, we did so with the conviction that we would commit ourselves to be God’s representatives in this place. Volunteers have been the human face of the Christian faith to countless people who know that Broadway cares when they are hurting. Local mission activities span a wide range from food and clothing distribution, after school programs, tutoring, school uniforms, language assistance, and much more.

Broadway participates in global ministry by taking an offering on Pentecost Sunday to benefits the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship world mission program. Individual volunteers work on the Navajo reservation, with orphanages in Russia, and with a rice ministry in Cambodia.
