The David Class - A special friends ministry for people of all ages

The David Class is a ministry for Adults With Disabilities specifically developed to enable those who have special needs an opportunity for worship and fellowship. the class meets each Sunday morning during the regular Bible Study hour at 9:30 for study, music and mission activities. Discussion groups allow everyone an opportunity to become an involved participant.

The Michael Class is designed for those youth who have special needs and whose parents have chosen not to have them mainstreamed in the regular Sunday School. The curriculum materials are geared to the age levels and capabilities of the participants.

The Hand Bell Choir Class - Both the David and Michael classes join together after Bible Study for the Hand Bell Class using the Adaptive Notation for Hand Bells System whereby they can easily follow and enjoy being a part of the Special Friends Hand Bell Choir. The choir performs during special events and occasionally during the morning worship service. Music in an integral part of every program at Broadway offering worship opportunities through not only hand bell training, but also singing and use of small instruments.

Closed Circuit Television is available for any who may wish to watch the worship service apart from the sanctuary.

While adults and teens enjoy the David Class and the Michael Class, children and infants may be mainstreamed according to their ages and abilities. The Broadway staff and volunteers have CPR training and Child and Youth Protection Policy approval. Resource personnel include specialists in social work and special education.
